I bought this fridge three months ago. Its Ok my review is meh. Would not buy this again. Pros: - I like the extra ice maker that provides plenty of ice in the freezer bin this is a great feature. Even with the freezer ice bin the freezer is big enough to provide plenty of storage. - This is a counter-depth fridge but its HUGE Theres tons of storage. Thats a big plus. Cons: - I hate the water / ice / crushed ice dispenser. Yes its through the door which is good but operating the water dispenser leads to constant water spills because you cant see the dispenser its hidden so far up inside the mechanism that you have to go hunting for it every time. Also it dispenses with a huge gushing flow that inevitable leads to spills and overflowing. Theres a tiny light behind the dispenser that is useless it doesnt help you see anything. - If you ever have to reset the ice dispensers in the door and freezer good luck If you wanted to hide the nuclear codes where no one would ever discover them you should hide them in these dispensers theyll never be found. This newest model no longer has easy to access ice on and off buttons they used to be clearly marked - thats what youll find on YouTube etc but alas there are no markings anymore and the locations are almost impossible to find and access. Instead you have to go fishing for invisible undetectable TINY access spots that you then have to press and hold while water gushes out of the door dispenser onto the floor. I spent hours with LG customer service trouble shooting both ice dispensers and the service guy couldnt find it when he finally showed up. I ended up having to take a freezer dispenser SELFIE you cannot see the underside of the freezer ice maker ergo the selfie and had to take a photo of the back and underside of the in-door ice maker send those to customer service and have them talk me through the process of resetting both ice dispensers. Ridiculous. The ergonomics here are for contortionists only. I would never buy this fridge again.

Love the size Totally flat front and no curves any where. Even inside. Very clean look. Its on wheels so easy to move. like everything about except having to move the ice dispenser control on the outside to get water or crushed ice. Watch out for the freezer gasket did have to call twice for service as it was faulty. But all good now that it is replaced. TERRIFIC SERVICE DEPT

If youre considering buying an LG refrigerator please consider our experience. We have had the worst customer service experience with these folks over too long. The refrigerator was delivered purchased directly from LG with a defective upper left hinge attach point that affects the alignment of the left door which we didnt pick up on until about two months after delivery. Contact was made with their customer service and photographs were provided which they acknowledged while on the phone. Now a year later they still want to send out a service provider to fix the unit after one they insisted we use $175 on us wrote and submitted a report/photographs to LG saying it was impossible to fix the unit due to a misalignment of two locating pins on top of the unit. This next service provider will make at least two trips one to diagnose photos/prior report meaningless then allegedly order parts and then return for the installation. We asked what your corrective action would be if he gave you the same report and the answer is that this will have to go on three times before it is declared a factory defect. When your case gets escalated to their Presidential team customer service will bounce you around play a delay game and only contact you on their schedule not yours. The 1-2 day call back was 4 actually six days as there was a weekend in the middle but no call back on weekends and I had to make follow-up calls to make that happen. When asked if they would send an email documenting the telephone conversation they almost always refused - we had two individuals who did. Thats a sign when CS will not document what you are discussing you know its not good. My advice is not to put yourself in this position do some shopping and buy from a company that stands behind their products and is interested in resolving your concern about the product they sell. Also you should establish an intermediary between you and the vendor and ensure you obtain an extended service plan. I did some after-purchase research and now understand that the industry standard is that about 25 of new refrigerators have some issues immediately.

Against my wifes recommendation via research/ reviews etc I convinced her to purchase our first LG appliance. After ONLY 2 MONTHS OF USE and the indoor ice maker already needs to be replaced Trouble shooted with LG rep on phone over a 45 minute call process. Confirmed needing replacement and LG wanted to sent it to me and have me replace it. I said no and they issued a work order to 3rd party repair to come and do the repair within a week and said they would ABSOLUTELY have ALL PARTS IN HAND for repairs at the visit 3rd party confirmed appointment for morning between 8-12noon. HOWEVER they arrived and within 2 mins confirmed the icemaker needs replacement and it would be a couple of weeks to GET THE PARTS and we would have to RESCHEDULE AGAIN through yet another appointment. I called LG back and asked where the gap in communication was with telling me one thing and their repair vendor another. LG rep had no reasonable explanation nor solution to offer. I asked for a follow up and its already been 2 weeks with no response back from LG In the end I block off 1/2 a day and still no resolution by LG

The refrigerator was delivered on July 1. I noticed two dents and called LG the next day. I have been on the phone for hours with LG with Lowes distribution and repair. I sent photos of the dents and sent a photo of the receipt. To date I still have two dents in my refrigerator freezer drawer. My last communication was Friday the 12 and was told I was getting a new drawer and hear something on Monday the 15th. Im still waiting.

It even lets me know when I need to change air filter and water cartridge. The wrong air filter cover was on the refrigerator when I went to change the air filter. Tech ordered part #AEQ 73110219 and we received it on 6/11. However there was a broken piece on part. Called on 6/12 to LG and explained situation. Was told a new part would be expedited to us never showed up Called LG again on 6/26 and was told I needed to call Sears and have them order new part and make new appointment for repair. Defective door ice maker on NEW LG Refrigerator.

After only 3 months from purchasing the LG refrigerator ice in the door began to melt. This allowed water from the melting ice to drip on our kitchen floor causing our newly renovated wooden kitchen floor to warp. We were not home when the water from the melting ice got on our floor. LG sent someone to install new fans in the top of the bottom freezer. Only 2 weeks since fan installation and problem with thawing ice in the door appears to be solved. But our warped floor is not. I asked the installer if this was a common problem but he told me he was only sent to install the new fan. So problem with melting ice solved we hope Problem with our warped floor not solved. Will cost us at least $500 to have repaired. Our previous 2 refrigerators had a small tray in the door to catch a small amount of water that may drip from the water dispenser. Unfortunately the LG refrigerator we have does not have a small tray to catch this water and it ends upon our kitchen floor. Future buyers should be aware of this.

My husband and I bought the refrigerator from Lowes in Orangeburg NY over Memorial Day Weekend and it was scheduled to be delivered on June 3rd. The day after we purchased the refrigerator my husband was hospitalized. He was still in the hospital on June 3rd when it was delivered and he was not released from the hospital until June 11th having had a brain tumor removed on June 7th. I was not home most of the time he was in the hospital. A few days after taking delivery of the refrigerator I noticed the ice cream in the freezer was soft. My husband was having brain surgery so I was not going to focus on a possible freezer issue. A few days after my husband was released from the hospital I noticed everything in my freezer was thawed or melted. I called LG for a service call. The serviceman advised that there was a seal system leak going to the compressor and the drain pan was cracked. He believed the unit had been dropped during delivery. I immediately contacted Lowes and asked them to replace the unit. The representative noted my complaint and said someone would contact me within 72 hours. Eight days later having not heard from Lowes I asked my mother to follow up for me because my husband was readmitted to the hospital 10 days after his discharge and is still in the hospital fighting for his life. She spent hours on the phone today with Lowes with no resolution. What Lowes has done to me is criminal and when I am able I will use every legal and cyber avenue available to address this companys abhorrent behavior.

Have had for one month and all is well. The only thing is that the way the top french doors are placed if you want to get to one of the two drawers in the refrigerator they do not align with the width of the french doors so one has to open both doors all the time. Compressor warranty is 10 years.

I like this refrigerator so much that I have actually purchased 3. We purchased this fridge for our son and daughter in law as a house warming gift 5 years ago. They researched and it is the one they wanted. Last year we bought one for our beach house and now we have purchased again for a 2nd home. What has sold us on this model is its a large counter depth refrigerator and has plenty of room. It also has dual ice makers and that is a game changer when you live in a hot area of the country. We a a different model in a home a few years ago and the main unit died. LG stood behind their product as it was still under warranty so that also sold me on the LG brand.

This is our second LG fridge that we purchased new. We are very pleased with our new fridge after two weeks. It is spacious and nice looking in our kitchen. I like the ability to monitor temperature from my phone and to get notifications when it is left open. I also appreciated the option to purchase directly from LG and get the incentives from them.
